Landed in Kenya

Hello devoted fans, iDoc24 users and human computer interaction for development (HCI4D) lovers!
We have landed in Kenya after two excellent flights with turkish airlines, despite a minor misshap at the security checkpoint in Istanbul. Without naming anyone in particular, Chris forgot  his cutleries from the past week’s lunch boxes in his carry on luggage. The knife was not appreciated by the security people, but honestly, the fork was probably more dangerous as the knife was essentially child safe. Interestingly enough, it got through the Swedish security…

Our apartment is nice and we have visited a local food market for some provisions and Rickard got a new haircut. We have yet to see a single mosquito so the malaria threat feels almost non-existent and contrary to what we were told, we have eaten both eggs and fresh salad, but so far so good.

We will start by taking care of some practical issues over the weekend (such as finding an ATM that accepts a Swedish mastercard) and start getting in contact with potential cooperative foundations/companies on monday.

Vänta nu… är det där verkligen Kenya? Ser väldigt mycket ut som Uppsala Tågstation. 😛 Photos or it didn’t happen!

  3. Sharp eye @Bellan! Det är sannerligen uppsala centralstation, där vi påbörjade vår resa.
